Our Fabulous Vacation

We had an absolutely fabulous vacation. 

Swimming in waterfalls,

listening to bluegrass on an old town square (me and Daddy),

hiking on the Appalachian Trail, 

picnicking on mountain balds, 

running family style,

exploring an abandoned railroad car, 

and overall enjoyment of the great outdoors. 

All in all, it was a very delightful time. Time to decompress and relax as a family doing the best sort of things. Praise the Lord!

French Braid

Hello, friends!

We are on vacation, and have been for the last three weeks. This means I have had very limited, sometimes non-existent connection to the world of blogging. This has has been partially a disappointment, but also an opportunity to fully live in these moments without the distraction of technology. 

With more time on my hands, I got to do Gillian's hair a few times. This one was a success. And of course, I love any excuse to take pictures of Gillian!

Try it, it's not that hard! Trust me, I couldn't do hair beautifully for years. There is always time to learn something new.
