Linen Skirt

The other day, I found an outdated linen skirt at Goodwill. I picked it up, because linen skirts in pretty colors are hard to find, that is, if you aren't willing to pay up to $80! It was, however, really in need of some help! :) I cut off about six inches, and stitched a different hem. How easy was that? It took me less than twenty-five minutes. And all the other kids were gone, so I was able to do it in silence. Aaah! Delightful.  I think I'll wear this tomorrow...

Have you made anything lately? If so, please comment. Comments make my day!!

Madeleine

Just Life

Hello! The spring weather has boosted all the spirits in our home. Why does warmth make us more happy? :) Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to around here, just all of the simple things.

I noticed that pair of yellow rain boots sitting by the sun-filled window.

I made sprouted grain biscuits in an iron skillet.

I put my brother Ellison in front of a super neat brick wall to catch a few shots of him. Love that guy!

I hope you all are enjoying the spring weather. I need to get outside some more. It is never enough. Really!

Madeleine

Gillian's 11th Birthday

The Lord is Risen! Alleluia!

Monday was Mamie Gillian's eleventh birthday. She is beautiful.

I tied ribbons up for her, and we sang "Happy Birthday!"

We had tea, of course. And a delightful coffee cake made with sprouted grain flour. Delicious!

Coffee cake not pictured, that is Auntie Rachel's stollen. :)

I love you, Gillian!

Love,
Madeleine
