A Breath of Winter Air

We all needed to get out. Sometimes, when living in the suburbs, a step away from the residential streets and rows of houses is imperative. It is amazing how quickly time outside can affect one's spirits. You can call it whatever you like: constitutional, perambulation, stroll, airing, ramble. Just give me my winter walk in the snow.

For the record, more individuals participated in the walk than pictured. Don't be envious if it looks to picturesque...I didn't include the photos of the "snow-dives" achieved by my brothers.

Kale Chips

I am so excited about these kale chips! My Mama and I made two whole bunches last night, and we ate the whole bowl. Delicious. It's super easy, and full of good nutrients.

Kale Chips Recipe

1 bunch of Kale--any kind
Olive Oil
Sea Salt

Preheat the oven to 350˚. Tear off all the leaves from the kale stalks, and place them on a cookie sheet. Next drizzle with olive oil and grind some sea salt on the leaves. Toss the kale, then, distributing the olive oil and salt as best as possible. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or less. You want the kale to be crispy, but not burnt. Munch away!
